摘要 海外中心建设属于大学国际化的重要内容。英美顶尖大学海外中心体现精英大学的品牌意识,但并非海外校区的替代战略。虽然各海外中心因校际战略的差异化而各具特点,但在增设时间、设立逻辑与运营方式以及地域选择等方面也呈现了鲜明的趋同性。顶尖高校海外中心数量的激增体现了大学参与全球高等教育竞争前端的前移,也意味着高等教育竞争的一个新趋势。对英美顶尖大学海外中心的研究有助于理解和跟踪国际高等教育发展新动向,并为中国大学的海外中心布局与建设提供参考。 Although it has its own characteristics due to the differences in university’s strategies,the overseas centers of top university in the UK and the United States have shown convergence in terms of founding time,setting up logic,operation mode and geographical selection. The proliferation of overseas centers not only reflects top universities taking a changing leading position to participate in the global higher education competition,but also indicates a new trend of the competition serving the connotative development. This study is helpful for understanding and tracking new trends in the development of international higher education,as well as providing a reference for the overseas center layout and construction of China’s top universities.
